Turkish Bath called “hamam” has a long-lasting tradition from ancient times. Hamam used to be a place for relax, cleaning but expecially a place of busy social life. Business meetings and events used to take place in hamam, e.g. examinig the “would-be” bride by broom’s mother before engagement.
One of the first things to do when arriving to Alanya is to go to a Turkish Bath (Hamam). It will clean you skin so as you’re ready to get better sunburns.
Our hamam package include mud bath, warming up in the sauna and steam room, then visiting the traditional hamam with a heated marble block in the middle. Lying down on the marble you will undertake whole body peeling and then a relaxing (and cleaning) foam massage. After a short relaxation you will get a classical oil massage .
In the end of the bathing,you’ll feel yourself like a bird relaxed,younger and dynamic. Here we say:”

Important information:
Hamams are a great introduction to the traditions of Turkey and an essential experience that will prepare you for better sunbathing.
it is a usual practice to take bikini into Turkish hamam
you will get a towel directly in hamam, you do not need to take yours unless you want to take a shower after the oil massage at the end.
The Turkish Bath is very hot and humid, like a Sauna. Please make sure you do not have any health problems regarding high humidity. It is a good idea to have a bottle of water with you at all times.

The Turkish Hamam trip is wonderful. You're picked up at your hotel, driven to a very nice Hamam. For only 20 Euro we had salt scrub/bath, mentol steam room, sauna, mud bath, Hamam massage, and oil massage. They also take pictures in the salt and mud if you want to pay extra at the end. Our photos were great and very affordable. If you want other treatments you can pay extra, but we did only what the excursion price included and it was fantastic! My family and I highly recommend....just don't go with a sun burn.?
